Blocktime

The Blocktime app displays the current Bitcoin block height, representing the number of the latest block in the Bitcoin blockchain. The block height indicates how many blocks have been produced since the genesis block and serves as a measure of the network’s progress and security.
To ensure stable and reliable performance, the block height is updated at 2-minute intervals. This means there may be a slight technical delay between the actual block height and the displayed value.
Since new blocks are typically generated every 10 minutes on average, this interval strikes a good balance between freshness and system efficiency. The app still provides a reliable overview of the blockchain’s current state with minimal delay.
